Terms of Service

Effective date: 24 June 2026. These terms govern your use of the Tripomonk app and website and any trek, tour or adventure you book through us, operated by Tripomonk Travel Private Limited ("Tripomonk", "we", "us"). By creating an account or making a booking, you agree to these terms.

1. Who can use Tripomonk

You must be 18 or older to create an account and make a booking. Minors may travel only under a booking made by a parent, guardian or lead traveller who accepts responsibility for them. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account.

2. Bookings and payments

• A booking is confirmed only after the required advance (currently 25% of the trip cost, unless stated otherwise) is successfully paid. The balance is due before departure as communicated to you.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay. Prices are shown in Indian Rupees and may change until a booking is confirmed.
• Your e-ticket / booking confirmation is proof of a confirmed seat. Please carry a valid government photo ID for verification at the start point.

3. Cancellations and refunds

• Cancellation and refund terms depend on the specific trek or adventure and the notice given. The applicable policy is shown at the time of booking and in your booking confirmation.
• As a general guide for treks: free cancellation up to 15 days before departure (advance refunded, subject to any non-refundable third-party costs); within 15 days a partial charge may apply. Some fixed costs (permits, transport, operator advances) may be non-refundable.
• Trips cancelled by Tripomonk for reasons within our control are refunded or rescheduled. We are not liable for costs arising from events beyond our control (see clause 6).

4. Your responsibilities as a traveller

• Provide accurate personal, medical and emergency-contact details, and disclose any condition that may affect your safety on a trek.
• Ensure you are adequately fit for the difficulty level of the trip you book. High-altitude and adventure activities carry inherent risks.
• Follow the instructions of trek leaders, guides and operators at all times. Their decisions on safety, route and weather are final.
• Carry required documents and permits, and comply with local laws and forest / eco-zone rules.

5. Risk and safety

Trekking, mountaineering and adventure activities involve inherent risks including terrain, altitude, weather and physical exertion. You take part voluntarily and at your own risk. We take reasonable safety measures, but you are responsible for your own health, fitness and conduct. We strongly recommend suitable travel and medical insurance.

6. Events beyond our control

We are not liable for delays, changes, curtailment or cancellation caused by weather, landslides, road blocks, natural disasters, strikes, government or authority action, permit issues, medical emergencies, or other events beyond our reasonable control. Where such events occur, we will do our best to offer alternatives, but additional costs are the traveller's responsibility.

7. Host-led and third-party trips

Some trips are hosted by verified creators or partners under the Tripomonk brand, with operations managed by us. Certain services (transport, stays, permits, guides) may be provided by third-party operators. We select partners carefully but are not liable for the independent acts or omissions of third parties beyond our reasonable control.

8. Community content

You are responsible for the photos, videos, captions, comments and messages you post. Do not post anything unlawful, harmful, misleading, infringing or offensive. We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these terms. By posting, you grant Tripomonk a licence to display that content within the app.

9. Intellectual property

The Tripomonk name, logo, app, content and design are owned by Tripomonk and may not be copied or used without permission. Content you post remains yours, subject to the licence in clause 8.

10. Changes and liability

We may update these terms, prices and features from time to time; continued use means you accept the changes. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of Uttarakhand, India.
